STATEWIDE PROJECTS

Public Defender Office 2000-2001
This project upgraded ten field offices through out the state including Alamogordo, Carlsbad, Clovis, Farmington, Hobbs, and Las Cruces. Over 285 data lines were installed, along with new racks and patch panels.  Each site HEI staff worked with the offices working mostly nights and weekends to complete the installs.

Department of Labor 2002
Twelve field offices were upgraded to category 5E cable.  Installs also included new racks, patch panels and jacks.  HEI worked with Holocom manufacturer to provide raceway and gateways for the modular systems in the Santa Fe, Carlsbad, Espanola, Roswell and Silver City Offices.  HEI worked with the IT staff for their rollout of equipment to coordinate a schedule that worked best for them.  HEI staff in many of the busy offices worked nights and weekends to complete the installs.

Administration Office of the Courts 2002-2004
The Video Arraignment Project Phase One connected Magistrate Courts to the Detention centers.  Point to point T-1’s were used in many sites as well as direct fiber optic and copper connections.  Part one was visiting each court and detention center to assess the electrical and communication needs.  A proposal was established.  Because we have staff members cross-trained in both electrical and telecom we were able to send one crew throughout the rollout to install both.  This team provided a consistent install throughout the project.  Thirteen Courts and ten detention centers were included in this phase from Taos to Espanola and Roswell to Silver City and all point between.  We had coordinate our work with Qwest for the T-1 extension and the Video Vender to insure that each phase of the rollout was on time to the other parties involved in the project.
